Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Registered Art Therapist

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Registered Art Therapist (ATR) I promote talk therapy and creative expression as methods for healing, empowerment and life enhancement. My focus is to be a conduit for compassion, grace, and healing. In therapy sessions, clients use talk therapy and/or art materials and techniques to explore emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects in order to access their innate wisdom and healing potential. By providing a safe and non-judgmental space for clients there is an invitation to enter a path into curiosity, discovery, and enrichment which presents openings for change and growth. I work with clients so that they might find their voice and therefore become empowered to live their life authentically.

No Art Skills Necessary!

There is not a “right” or “wrong” way to engage in art-making with art therapy. Through art therapy, the process of making a simple line, pattern, symbol, or a complex construction brings each person closer to finding their voice, their mark, or to express their story in a very personal way.

Art Therapy Uses Non-Verbal Therapeutic Expression

In a world that is accustomed to using verbal skills and intellectual investigations, art therapy provides additional pathways to access important personal information from a right-brained perspective. As an Art Therapist, I present opportunities for individuals to use non-verbal, physical means of gently uncovering, making visible, each person’s wisdom for problem-solving. Additionally, art therapy promotes the integration of memory and creating meaning from experiences for expanded awareness and enrichment. Art therapy offers a safe and non-judgmental strategy for containing emotions and experiences while presenting openings for change and growth.
